Why Clean Your Air Ducts?

Is This Your Air Duct System?

It comes as a shock to most homeowners to know they keep a hidden "dirty room" in their house: the humid air ducts in which germs breed and are circulated. Such contamination can create serious health hazards, especially to those persons susceptible to allergies and to other respiratory ailments. When the air ducts are not clean it's just like having a dirty room in the house.

Most homeowners are completely unaware of this "dirty room". Why? First, they may feel that their heating and cooling system doesn't allow any dust into their duct system. Second, they may believe that their filters keep the system clean even if their heating or cooling system does circulate dust.

A typical filter in your home or office collects only about 7% to 10% of the dust and carbon particles circulating through your system's duct work; which means that up to 93% of the airborne contaminants circulates through them. A good portion of these pollutants settle in the duct work and provide breeding grounds for bacteria, fungi, mold spores, dust mites and other harmful allergens.

Every heating and cooling system depends on the flow of air. As this air circulates, it picks up some of the lint, dust particles, animal dander and other types of particles which normally occur in every home and deposits it in the ducts where it collects and builds up.

The solution to this dilemma is air washing the duct system with a unique machine called "Power-Vac". Our process of dust, bacteria, and odor removal is a simple, yet extremely effective procedure that begins with drawing a very high-powered vacuum from the plenum at the furnace (supply and return air) , while simultaneously "Air Washing" the duct system with our patented 250 P.S.I. "Skipper" (a high pressure nozzle that is inserted into the system and propels itself through the duct work) The third step of our process is to clean the plenums, furnace, evaporator coil (optional blower compartment and the blower fan itself).

Once your air duct system has been vacuumed and cleaned, the best method to help maintain your duct system and keep it clear of pollutants in the future is to install an ELECTROSTATIC filter. A top-quality, efficient electrostatic filter will trap 96% of any particulate as small as .3 of a micron. A grain of salt is 20-178 microns in diameter.

Air duct cleaning will benefit your family's health by alleviating indoor allergies and respiratory problems. It will prolong the life of your entire heating and cooling system and will reduce the cost of operating your system. Air duct cleaning also increases your cooling and heating efficiency, plus less time is spent dusting and cleaning your home or office.

Unlike other so-called cleaning firms, Simpson Power-Vac, Inc. removes the dust and debris from the duct system. We do not attempt to cover up the contamination problem with chemicals that may eventually flake off making the air quality in the home or office even worse.

Doesn't it make sense to protect your family and home with the best duct cleaning money can buy?

Respectfully.
